As we all know, a company is nothing without its founder and the team behind. CFM made it to 25 years in business, thanks to their clients but also to all the dedicated people who allowed the company to evolve throughout the years. HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF THE CFM LOGO

Initially, the company was named Atelier CFM in honor of the acronym Conception Fabrication Mécanique (which means Mechanics, Design, and Manufacturing). The word Atelier (workshop) was later removed, and the logo was modernized to adopt a less straightforward visual, and to become more streamlined in its presentation.

FUN FACTS

Did you know that Steve Blanchette joined CFM only one year after its foundation? He bought the company in 2017, and is now its President. Without his involvement and dedication, CFM would not be where it is today.

Do you know where our products’ names, Comet and Satellite, come from? As robotic products were growing, a contest was held among employees. This proposal was chosen, especially because the cells could move, just like satellites.

Did you know that DIY Robotics was originally a business segment of CFM? It was created with the goal of moving away from custom-made robotic solutions to offer baselines that are just as powerful, but more affordable.
